At his chic new London eatery Hix, chef Mark Hix features works by artist pals Damien Hirst, Gary Webb, Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, and Tim Noble and Sue Webster.

Hirst has concocted a Mini-Me version of his famous formaldehyde-soaked shark, currently on loan to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, courtesy of owner hedge fund collector Steve Cohen.

The artist has encased a veritable school of anchovy-sized fish in blocks of clear resin and hung them as a mobile over the bar.

My dinner companion went with the maritime theme and ordered an English delicacy–cod’s tongue.

The restaurant is just a week old and perfect for a Frieze week meal. Hix’s culinary stylings are also available at the fair. Hix’s Oyster Bar and Restaurant has set up temporarily in Regent’s Park and is serving lunch daily.
